This teenager asked the police to use a nicer photo of her on Facebook after escaping jail
LAST WEEK, POLICE IN SYDNEY sought the public’s help in tracking down 18-year-old Amy Sharp, a teenager who had escaped from Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex.

Unhappy with the photo distributed by police, Amy decided to take matters into her own hands and supply the media with a more flattering photo of herself.

The comment received over 60,000 likes and comments from people describing her as a “hero”.
The next day, police confirmed in a statement to 7 News Sydney that she had been arrested. The Guardian reports that she has since been charged with escaping lawful custody as well as an outstanding warrant.
